Janice Chanmi Kang (b. Sacramento, CA) is a San Diego based sculpture artist inspired by the emotional presence embedded in objects forgotten and left behind. Her work explores the reluctance to move on from one’s past, examining what remains of forlorn passions, habits, and people lingering in memory.
Janice is currently pursuing her BA in Studio Art at the University of California, San Diego. She has been the recipent of the Russell Foundation grant in 2026.
